Our History

The Garlic Pit Pasta House was founded by Joe and Cathy Morelli in 1992. Joe's inspiration for The Garlic Pit was to share the homestyle Italian cooking he grew up enjoying in southern Italy. The restaurant quickly became known for offering delicious pasta dishes at an outstanding value and the best chicken Parmesan in western New York. For nearly three decades, loyal patrons enjoyed having dinner at this Webster staple.

Sadly, Joe passed away unexpectedly at the end of 2018. While his passing greatly impacted everyone who knew him, Joe's family was inspired after an outpouring of support from many longtime customers. They decided they wanted to carry on Joe's legacy in such a way that would make him proud.

After a kitchen and dining room refresh, Joe's daughter and son-in-law reopened The Garlic Pit in April of 2019. They sincerely thank you for your patience and support during this process and are looking forward to serving you for years to come.
